Waiting for the kiln to cool off from the latest bisque firing. Planning the glazing that I will be doing and excited for some experiments (mixed some clay with small fish tank stones).
Getting back to simplicity with pinch pots. I actually spent over an hour creating a spherical pinch pot and made a spout and put a very nice foot on it. While I had it on the wheel I was using a rib to smooth everything put and it flew off and landed on the floor in the middle of some clay debris. Completely ruined. Lesson in doing your best even if it doesn’t make it.
Also had an adventure day with the boys and we explored an abandoned stretch of road and some decaying buildings.
